When Food Republic told me they were doing Frites Week, I basically told them “Cool, Imma make some chicken fries.” And now here we are.
But these aren’t just long chicken nuggets with basic breading. No… these are epic. We’re taking slices of real chicken, and battering them up. What are we battering them in? Well, it’s one part buttermilk mashed potatoes, one part beer batter, and a million parts delicious. That’s about all you need to know. OH, and we’re making some sweet and sour sauce to dip them in, because sweet and sour sauce is what I want with my chicken nuggets, and also because this (link to recipe after the jump):
